Our Esteemed Veterans
The greatest generation any society has ever produced". The men and women who fought not for fame and recognition, but because it was the "right thing to do".
These men and women are our parents and grandparents. They lived through the Great Depression and WWII by sacrificing to build the future for us. And they all say that they would do it again
Our WWII soldiers came out of economic deprivation with the Depression. Many enlisted before finishing high school right off the family farm. When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor without warning, a war crime was committed against the United States.
Americans enlisted in droves. They went beyond their own shores to help save the world from fascism, came back, rebuilt their enemies, built the country that we have today, married in record numbers, went to college in record numbers, and they kept their values. And they all say that they would do it again.
These outstanding American heroes are now age 93 and older. They, along with the heroes of the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, and more recent foreign conflicts reside at the Nevada State Veterans Home in Boulder City.
NVAL – Nevada Veterans Assistance League raises non-profit funds to supplement the care and enrich the quality of life for these heroes in residence.
A personal oxygen concentrator can make the difference in being able to participate in an outing. Being able to receive a personal Christmas gift and to select one for a family member, makes a difference for these proud Americans.
There’s no time to lose…
Take this moment to make it a priority to remember the men and women who gave their youth for freedom that you and I now enjoy. They are living their last days in care.
Won’t you give them a gesture of thanks by your donation?
Enhance the quality of their remaining days to celebrate the freedom they sacrificed to provide our nation. They say that they would fight for you again, if given the chance.
Our goal is to furnish each needing resident with personal oxygen concentrator to give them back their freedom of mobility and free will. Even just for a little while longer.
